Fundación Educación has been operating successfully in Peru for 30 years. In this period, our foundation has awarded scholarships for higher education to more than 980 talented young people. The funding of these scholarships has been made possible initially by the generous donation of Ernst and Liselotte Keller, the founders, and subsequently by the generous contributions of our donors and the “Honorary Commitment”, i.e. the funds reimbursed by our alumni for the benefit of the next generation of scholarship recipients.
Asociación Educación (AE), founded and funded by Fundación Educación as a non-profit organization in Lima, has managed the scholarship program in the country for the last 15 years, including the successful implementation of the Honorary Commitment.
In early 2024, Fundación Educación and AE agreed to make AE independent. Consequently, AE will run the existing scholarship program at PUCP and UTEC universities as well as TECSUP on its own, with funds raised locally. AE will also take over the management of the Honorary Commitment for scholarship recipients and alumni prior to this separation. At the same time, Fundación Educación will launch a new scholarship program this year, a program that will be complementary to that of AE, thus facilitating the support of more young Peruvian talent.
We extend our gratitude to each of the members of the Board of Directors and the administrative team of Asociación Educación, especially to its President, Juan Mulder, for their commitment to the scholarship program throughout all these years, wishing them continued success in the future. We also express our deep appreciation and respect to all the scholarship recipients and alumni, whose efforts and commitment have been key to the success of the program.
Scholars and alumni will continue to be part of our “Gran Familia Fundación Educación”, the alumni network of all our programs, and we are very proud to be able to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Fundación Educación with them soon.
