Carlos Mario Bravo Saldarriaga, Colombia

Carlos Mario finalized his studies with honors in 2010 at the Instituto Técnico Salesiano Pedro Justo Berrío. Thereafter he enrolled at EAFIT in order to take up his studies as a product design engineer, a specialization that he had been dreaming of ever since he was a child.

Meanwhile Carlos has designed many innovative products, for example the "Corn Walker" (as seen on the photo) or the "HandBike", a racing bike for handicapped persons. The young inventor looks at himself as a beneficiary yet also as a full-fledged member of Fundación Educación, which contributes to the development of scholars on a holistic basis. Recently he was granted another scholarship, the Beca Iberoaméerica Santander, for a semester abroad at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Valparaiso, in Chile.
