Country Program of Perú

Fundación Educación has its longest track record in Peru, where it began its work in 1994. Over time, it developed an increasingly comprehensive and self-sustainable program. In 2008, it founded and transferred the daily management of the program to the local non-profit organization Asociación Educación. In 2023, the program in Peru funded 140 scholars. Over the years, the number of graduates supported has reached 891 and USD 2,819,189 were raised thanks to the Alumni Honorary Commitment. A great success!

At the beginning of 2024, the Foundation and Asociación Educación agreed on the independence of the program managed by the latter. As a result, Asociación Educación assumed sole responsibility for the ongoing scholarship program with the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) and the Instituto Superior Tecnológico (TECSUP) from 2024 and manages the reimbursements of scholars and alumni within its program as part of the Compromiso de Honor.

At the same time, Fundación Educación launched a new scholarship program with the aim of supporting an even larger number of young Peruvian talents. An initial collaboration was agreed with the Universidad del Pacífico (UP), one of the country's leading business universities. The university also has a partnership with the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. There are plans to expand the program in Peru to other educational institutions in the future.
