The first one is to inform you that our dear colleague and friend Philippe Berberat has retired from the position of president of the Local Committee due to some health problems he is going through. Our sympathy goes out to Philippe, and we wish him a good recovery!
We are pleased to inform you that Kurt Schneider, who has been a member of the committee in Guatemala for several years, has taken over as of the present date the position of president. Kurt, we welcome you to your new role and thank you for taking on the responsibility as president of the committee to continue the excellent work that Philippe and the other members of the team have been doing since the start of the program in Guatemala!
We are also pleased to inform you that we have a new member on our committee. Andrea Arriola, together with our secretary Cristina Novales, will continue to provide administrative support and accompaniment to all the young scholars who are the raison d'être of our foundation.
