Fundación Educación was invited, together with two HSG student associations (Club Latinoamericano, Social Business Club) as well as startup@hsg and the Academy Industry Training (AIT) Colombia, to discuss the possibilities of social entrepreneurship and startups in Latin America. The event took place on October 17, 2019, in the Makerspace of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) under the title of Social Entrepreneurship and Startups in LATAM. The student initiative was also supported by the Centro Latinoamericano-Suizo (CLS HSG).
Eliette Restrepo, alumna of Fundación Educación and EAFIT (Medellín), briefly introduced the foundation, also through her own impressive career. Her presentation was complemented and illustrated by the video message of another successful Fundación Educación alumna in Medellín, Marcela Yepes, who manages the startup and social enterprise Café de Lolita.
Attending HSG students received a lively insight into the Foundation's activities, while at the same time being offered concrete experience in the field of social entrepreneurship.
In this way, Fundación Educación was pleased to make the foundation known among HSG students and to promote networking at the foundation’s headquarters, the University of St. Gallen.
