This year we will add a new chapter to our country programs: Mexico.
The idea for this step came up two years ago when we were approached by the renowned «Fundación Coppel» of México. This foundation conducted a thorough due diligence of many well-established Swiss foundations and eventually selected Fundación Educación as their partner to establish a new high-end scholarship program in Mexico.
We feel very honored and are very excited about this opportunity.
We are also grateful that Ueli Frei, a long-time member of our Foundation Board, has decided to take responsibility for building up and managing this new chapter. Finally, we are thrilled that Mike Jost, former CFO of Nestlé Mexico, and Jobenely Cabello, consultant and alumna of the TEC, will take over the responsibility of running our new Local Committee.
As of Q3 2026, we’ll start building the basis so that many young Mexican talents can also start «moving the needle» in their country in the years to come! We will start with a pilot project and accept three scholarship recipients each year for the next three years.
