A few weeks ago, we informed you that Fundación Educación (FE) and Asociación Educación (AE) agreed to significant changes in the management of the scholarship program in Perú, effective from 2024. As of the beginning of the year, AE has taken on the responsibility for the current scholarship program with PUCP, UTEC, and TECSUP, managing, among others, the funds reimbursed by scholars and alumni of FE prior to AE's independence.

In parallel, we are pleased to inform you that Fundación Educación has decided to launch a new scholarship program aimed at supporting a greater number of talented young Peruvians.

It is with great satisfaction that FE announces the establishment of the new local Peruvian Local Committee, composed of Andrés Velarde Talleri as President and Stefan Gocht Kirpal as Vice-president. Both will be supported by an Executive Secretary, yet to be appointed.

Andrés, of Peruvian-Swiss origin, has been the rector of the Universidad del Norte and the Universidad Norbert Wiener. He also has extensive experience as a consultant, business manager, and board member.

Stefan, of Peruvian-German origin, has had a successful career as a managing partner and company director. In addition to his responsibilities as a director, he is currently dedicated to philanthropy.

Starting from the second semester of 2024, FE will begin a collaboration with the Universidad del Pacífico, one of the leading business universities in the country. The Universidad del Pacífico is also a partner of the University of St. Gall. Our cooperation is part of the recently launched scholarship program “Leaders with Purpose for the World” by the university. Given the high convergence of goals between FE and the Universidad del Pacífico, as well as the professionalism of the university's scholarship program, we are confident that this cooperation will be successful and benefit the new scholarship recipients.

During the first semester of 2025, once the new local committee of FE is consolidated, we will seek to expand the program to more educational institutions in Peru.

We are excited to begin this new phase of the scholarship program in Perú. Thanks to their professional experience, availability, and great enthusiasm, we are confident that Andrés and Stefan form a motivated, pragmatic, and highly committed team dedicated to young talents from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Perú.
