Does Fundación Educación represent a positive effect of Peruvian migration to Switzerland? During the event QUIPU Zürich 2021, the three Peruvian foundation members Isabel Stirnimann, Úrsula Arenas Meier and Marcus Stadelmann described their motivation to volunteer for a charitable initiative in favor of Perú (and other Latin American countries).
The work at Fundación Educación allows them to contribute from Switzerland to the social and economic development of these countries, as well as specifically help people who also come from Perú, but did not have the same starting conditions. The personal reports of Anghely Lozano, scholarship holder at PUCP, and Ximena Malpartida, UTEC, impressively showed how a Fundación Educación scholarship changes the lives and future prospects of the scholarship holders.
QUIPU Zürich is a virtual event organized by the Consulate General of Perú in Zurich. In its first edition, it was dedicated to diverse topics related to migration.
