Julio Arévalo, El Salvador

Student of Telecommunication Engineering, UDB

I've always had a passion for technology. When I started my studies, I focused on finishing my degree and helping my family once I got a job.

I got a scholarship from Fundación Educación, which also gave me the opportunity to learn English and work part-time at the university as an instructor. I managed to travel to Panama to present a research article that I had written in my penultimate year of my degree.

In my final year, thanks to my academic performance and English proficiency, I by obtained a scholarship from the South Korean government to take an IT technology course. A thought that has a profound meaning for me says: "Sooner or later, discipline will defeat intelligence."
