During her studies, Verónica worked as a research assistant in various areas of the university. She
participated in a project to standardize natural rubber production processes in the Bajo Cauca region
of Antioquia with the aim of replacing illegal crops with natural rubber plantations. As a result of
this project, Verónica, together with some university professors, published the article «Brown Paper
Methodology applied to the benefit of natural rubber with producers of the Lower Antioquia Cauca»,
which she presented at the 15th LACCEI International Conference for Engineering, Education and
Technology in Boca Raton, USA.
